The normal height of LED street light for different lighting purpose?

Normally 8, 10, 12 meters lamp pole street light are used in main road.

In rural area, the most commonly used lamp pole for LED street light is only 6 meters.

For residential lighting like district, LED courtyard is 3.5-4 meters high, 3.5meters is the most typical height.

The material of the lamp pole for LED street light?

At present, the most commonly used material for LED street light pole is Q235 steel, the workmanship for it is: first Q235 steel sheet should be acid washed, to clean the dust, oil on it. The second step is hot-galvanize treated, this step is of critical importance, because in order to save cost, some factory will not make it hot-galvanized, but spray it, the cost will be 2 times cheaper than hot-galvanized treatment. Hot galvanized treatment will ensure 20 years, or even longer time no rust, no corrosion. While spray zinc liquid, it will be rust in 2 or 3 years, people can’t tell the difference between both treatment. The last step is spray paint, to make powder coating on the surface of the lamp pole, the purpose is to isolate air and moisture from the material, to better protect it.

The structure breakdown of one LED street light

For one full set of LED street light, it is consist of different part:

LED street lamp housing, the LED light source, LED driver, this set is always used to replace traditional metal halogen street lamp for at least half power saving.

The LED street lamp is installed on the arm of the lamp pole. The lamp pole is the main supporting body for one LED street light. Then the connecting power wire, the flanges. The invisible part of one LED street light is anchor cage, it is made from concrete steel, this cage is also filled with concrete, to make the LED street light withstand strong wind, and in case of car impact.

For solar street light, the difference between normal LED street light and solar street light is: Normal LED street light is always consume city power, and have one LED street light driver. While solar street light will have no power wire, consume solar energy, equipped with solar panel and controller. Thanks to the advanced technology, solar LED street light lifespan is expand largely in recent years, at least 5 year free of maintenance, to save huge amount of city power.
